Biography

Tanya practices in the firm’s Business Litigation and Data, Digital Assets & Technology (DDAT) practice groups, specific to the Data Security & Privacy service team. She is also a member of the firm’s AI and AI Governance team. Tanya’s practice focuses on privacy and information security, advising clients on compliance with state, federal, and international privacy laws and strategies for responding to data breaches and other data security incidents. She represents clients on privacy and data security matters, including legal compliance, policy and program development, and other issues at the intersection of privacy, security, and technology.

Tanya also represents companies in a wide range of complex business disputes, including unfair competition, breach of contract, violations of privacy and AI laws (CIPA, GDPR, ECPA, CCPA, US & EU AI statutes), shareholder derivative claims, corporate fraud/mismanagement, and commercial litigation, including financial institution, real estate, foreclosure, and trust and estate litigation, as well as general business counseling, internal investigations, and corporate governance issues. She represents a variety of clients, both large and small, as well as individuals, in state and federal courts across the country. Tanya also works closely with clients to achieve successful results outside the courtroom through alternative dispute resolution alternatives or private settlement negotiations.

Tanya has tried judgment matters for plaintiffs and defendants relating to contract interpretation and breach; tortuous and negligent interference; and eviction. Additionally, she represents individuals and corporate clients in state appellate court in a wide variety of areas of law.
